Gym+Coffee wanted to implement and integrate NetSuite into their existing eCommerce, POS and 3PL so that they could support their rapid business growth. Proudly designed in Ireland, Gym+Coffee was created in 2017 by three friends on a mission to bring high-quality athletic clothing to a nation that was quickly making the corner cafe and Ireland’s stunning natural landscape the new social hubs.

The Challenge

Since 2017 Gym+Coffee has seen exciting and rapid business growth with its bricks-and-mortar retail footprint growing to 12 stores in Ireland and the UK, its online presence growing from one to 6 stores, a headcount reaching over 200 and a 15-fold increase in annual sales over the same period.

This impressive growth has presented its own challenges, particularly surrounding their tech stack, back-end processes and scalability moving forward. That’s when we stepped in to support their pre-sales technology selection, leading to Project Management and Technical Development.

Gym+Coffee now have the integrated tech stack that they needed. With NetSuite at the heart of their end-to-end business processes, they can confidently scale their operations as they continue to establish themselves as THE brand to watch!

Project Management

Our project management team worked closely with Gym+Coffee to understand their expectations for the project so that we could confidently manage the implementation and integration of an end-to-end solution that works for their business. Additionally, we had to create a cohesive project plan that would result in a successful go-live. This included managing the timeframe, resources and budget. 


NetSuite is at the heart of Gym+Coffee’s solution architecture, so managing the implementation of NS was a priority throughout the project. We used standard functionality to optimise important business processes such as record to report, order to cash and procure to pay. We combined this with the SuiteSuccess methodology to fast-track implementation time.


Integrating into and out of their NetSuite was vital in achieving an omnichannel end-to-end solution. We worked closely with our integration partners, Patchworks, to manage the technical resources and achieve a successful project go-live.

The Patchworks team expertly designed, built and tested reliable integration points between Gym+Coffee’s eCommerce, POS and 3PL.

Project Planning

Every successful project starts with detailed planning, from day 1 to go live and beyond! Our project management team developed a multiphase plan that managed the timeframe, scope, and physical and technical resources.

Technical Development

During the project, we identified the need for additional technical development within NetSuite to achieve further functionality. That’s when our Technical Leads stepped in to develop a SuiteScript solution to resolve a tax rounding issue on sales orders.

Pre-Sales Consulting

Before the project, we worked with the Gym+Coffee team to identify the best ERP and Integration solutions to achieve their business goals. This included understanding their requirements and challenges before presenting an in-depth proposal of the best fit technology for the project.

Solution Testing

Prior to go-live, we needed to put their end-to-end solution through its paces to highlight any potential issues. We ensured that all of NetSuite’s desired processes were working correctly and that each integration point passed clean, accurate data to and from eCommerce, POS and 3PL.

After successful testing, we knew we could progress towards the go-live with confidence that the solution would work in real-world situations.
